The Hague has thousands of students spread across universities, academies and colleges. They share the same trams, the same beach, the same late nights in Centrum. What they have not had is one place that tells their stories. That is why we started ORIGINS.
What we do
ORIGINS is student media for the whole city, not one school or one association. We do three things:
- Stories. Interviews and articles about the students building something here: founders, artists, athletes, organisers.
- The podcast. Long conversations with young founders and the people shaping student life, on Spotify and YouTube.
- What's on. Every week, the best student events in The Hague in one place, so you never miss the night everyone talks about afterwards.
Why "Origins"
Everyone who ends up in The Hague comes from somewhere. Some grew up here, many came from across the world. ORIGINS is about where people start, and what they build once they get here.
Made by students
We are a small team of students who wanted media that looks and feels like us. Our covers are inspired by classic magazines, but the people on them are your classmates, your neighbours, the person you met at an event last week.
Get involved
We are looking for writers, photographers, editors and hosts. No experience needed, just curiosity. Associations and organisers: send us your events and we will help you reach more students.
